A Mission With a Difference

Together we CAN

Our mission is to provide young people with the tools, resources and opportunities they need to take action on climate change and environmental issues.

We do this by working closely with local communities, organizations and leaders to identify and address the challenges they face, and by providing education, training and support for young people to become active, informed and engaged citizens.

At CAN, we believe that a sustainable future is one where young people are empowered to take action on the issues that matter to them. Whether it's through our community projects, our events and workshops, or our online resources, we are committed to providing young people with the knowledge, skills and support they need to make a real difference.

We also believe that music is a powerful tool for social change. That's why we support and promote young musicians, who are using their talents to raise awareness and inspire action on climate and environmental issues.

Latest ambassador project

Yek'ugowa by Tinta Tribe

The Tinta Tribe is a group of young people who want to change the world. They're our CAN Youth Ambassadors (Shack, Dj ToM & Nkosiyabantu) and have produced a song and video called "Yek'ugowa" (which means "Stop stressing") to raise awareness about mental health.

The song is a fun, exciting way to get people thinking about their mental health in these difficult times of war, climate change & public health crises. It's become an anthem for many people in the townships and informal settlements of Cape Town and is spreading like wildfire in South Africa!

We're so proud of these guys — they're doing great work and we can't wait to see what else they come up with! Check out Tinta Tribe's website for more info.
